We are based in Bishkek, in Central Asia, and provide training on research methodology in order to increase the analytical capacity of academic communities in Central Asia. We aim to connect them with international academic and expert communities.
Senior Research Associate and Chair of the Board
Aijarkyn Kojobekova is a political scientist and researcher with extensive experience of migrant flows from Central Asia towards neighbouring countries, particularly Russia and the Arabian Gulf. She worked as an expert in research projects of UNDP, UN Women, International Foundation for Electoral Systems, and Open Society Institute.
She has published extensively on the political and social implications of social change in Kyrgyzstan. She is Chairperson of Unum, a cultural exchange centre based in Bishkek which operates in the area of sustainable tourism.
Aijarkyn is based in Kyrgyzstan.
She has her Masters’ degree in education focused on English language and literature. Her second major is jurisprudence. She is experienced as a development manager in different fields such as education, consultancy, information, customer services, event planning, and recruitment.
She also skillful in administrative work such as: managing daily office needs, company’s general administrative activities, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems, organization of meetings and events, acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients, strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
As a co-founder of a public association “Club 25, KG”, she works on the following dimensions: 1) Developing Volunteer Blood Donorship among youth; 2) Charity; 3) Helping to Hemophilia Society; 4) Working on reduction of stigma and discrimination against HIV among young people.
